Kimberly V. Barr

Kimberly V. Barr is a native of Columbia, South Carolina and graduated magna cum laude from Benedict College in 1992 with a bachelor of science degree in criminal justice. Three years later, she earned her juris doctor degree from USC and was admitted to the South Carolina Bar. The next year, she was admitted to practice before the United States District Court. Attorney Barr has worked for Attorney Sabb for over fifteen years, and practices in the areas of personal injury (including workers compensation and automobile accidents), family court (including divorce, custody, child support, and name changes), and probate (including wills, contracts and land purchases). In addition, she serves as the assistant solicitor-in-charge in Williamsburg County, and as a member of Williamsburg Technical College Foundation Board of Directors.

Ms. Barr also served as general counsel for the City of Lake City Development Corporation, and was a committee member of the South Carolina Supreme Court Lawyers’ Fund for Client Protection. She is a member of the South Carolina Bar, American Association for Justice, South Carolina Association for Justice, National Bar Association, and Williamsburg County Bar Association. She has participated as a judge in mock trial competitions sponsored by the SC Bar. Attorney Barr is a member of New Ebenezer Baptist Church in Florence, South Carolina.
