Kimberly V. Barr

Kimberly V. Barr graduated magna cum laude from Benedict College in 1992 with a bachelor of science degree in criminal justice.  Three years later, she earned her juris doctor degree from the University of South Carolina School of Law and was admitted to the South Carolina Bar.  The next year, she was admitted to practice before the United States District Court.  She worked for five years with the law office of Newman & Sabb, P.A. before leaving to work as a municipal prosecutor in Florence for five years.

Ms. Barr returned to private practice with Ronnie A. Sabb in September 2004 and is currently is a partner with the Sabb Law Group, LLC.  They have offices in Williamsburg and Florence counties and she practices in the areas of personal injury, family court, and social security.  In addition to private practice, she served for twelve years as an assistant solicitor in Williamsburg County, where she was lead trial attorney in numerous felony prosecutions, including for murder, child rape, and other violent offenses.  She also worked as general counsel for the City of Lake City Development Corporation.  She is a current officer of the Pee Dee Inn of Court Chapter of the American Inns of Court and member of the Williamsburg Technical College Foundation Board of Directors.  She is a past committee member of the South Carolina Supreme Court Lawyers Fund for Client Protection.

Ms. Barr is a member of the South Carolina Bar, American Association for Justice, South Carolina Association for Justice, and Williamsburg County Bar Association.  She is the current President of the Pee Dee Chapter of the American Inns of Court and a member of the McLeod Regional Medical Center Fellows Program.  

Ms. Barr is a member of New Ebenezer Baptist Church in Florence, South Carolina.
